Girls' Night OutNot for the first time, Hestia was considering the best way to kill every member of her family.

The best way, she had decided, was to slip a bit of aconite into their evening ambrosia. It had worked beautifully the last time.
Naturally the fact that her relatives were all immortal meant that they would only receive a mild stomach pain and a fuzzy sort of headache, but the principle of the thing did wonders for her aeons of repressed frustration.

Ariana couldn't take it anymore. She, as well as her best friend Rachel, Nick, and Zak, had been lost in a cave for hours. She dropped her bag onto the granite floor and collapsed to the ground. The other teens had the exact same sentiments and dropped their bags and joined her on the floor.
"Come on babe, we'll get out of here soon, we have to find an exit eventually."

Book One: CHAPTER 4THE GYM BECAME A FIERY SWIMMING POOL; THE ATRIUM A WIND TUNNEL

"Ugh, man I hate math class…" Rachel sighed, as her teacher went on and on about…about…

"What IS he talking about?" It wasn't that Rachel hated math, after all, Zak was in her class, so there wasn't much to complain about. It was simply too early in the morning to focus on such a boring subject. On top of that, it was Friday, and every minute of the day seemed to drag as she desperately waited for the final bell. Unfortunately, that sweet sound of freedom wouldn't be heard for another six hours, and so, she resorted to twirling her hair, tapping the eraser end of Book One: CHAPTER 4 by ~DeltaXiEpsilon

Book One: CHAPTER 3GOD OF THE UNDERWORLD

The four were led through the surprisingly beautiful courtyard of Hades' palace. Although the high shrubs that concealed the inner part of the palace was a deep, almost black purple, and the grass was a deep black, The rest of the yard was of a soft white pink, red, deep green, and light brown color scheme. Marble white benches and statues portraying the minor gods of the Underworld, were around the court yard. The branches of the willow trees hung gently over them, fresh green topiaries had been cut into fantastical shapes, and the scent of mint leaves filled the air. "What did you say?" Rachel said, stunned.

"Here lies the gateway to Hades," Nick answered, "That's what's written on the wall." Their eyes widened and their hairs stood on end. It seemed too abnormal and strange; the wall's cryptic message had stricken a tinge of fear in everyone's hearts.

"Since when do you read Ancient Greek?" Ariana asked, stunned. Nick merely shrugged. Ancient Greek was a dead, not to mention difficult language. She placed her hand on the wall and began to further examine it.

A Dangerous LoveThe tide rose, allowing the ocean water to lap at the soft rocks that lay about the beach. Incoming waves marked the soft white sand of the cove with every contact, leaving curved lines on the wet sand surface. Above this, a few yards away where the sand became soil and grass was more prominent; stood a bluff. In the cool of the evening, a light breeze swept across the blades of grass and swirled its way up the incline. At the top, two human figures stood: one of them being a young woman of tall stature with slender limbs and slightly curved horns, about eight inches in length. Hera paced in front of her throne, waiting. Six days have passed since the meeting and not much had happened. Leto had perished but that didn’t really mean anything to her. She stopped and placed her hand on the cool white stone.
Suddenly, Demeter appeared beside her.
“I am glad you are here”, Hera said to her sister. Demeter nodded, already knowing what this was about. “It is the seventh day.”
“Yes”, Demeter answered. “It is.”
Suddenly a shimmering form appeared in front of them. It was Rhea, her image extremely faint.
“Goddesses listen”, she said quietly as if she was straining. “Today is the day that you will begin your journey but I have a warning for you. Hera, I have told you many other things but this may be the most important. Listen closely for I cannot repeat. When you get there you know you will have no connection with the other gods. Artemis ran faster as she heard her him gaining on her. Her feet barely touched the ground as she ran through the forest. Her long hair, tied in a ponytail, flowed behind her as she took in her surroundings. The path to the left was small and overgrown. Branches stuck out, waiting to catch her in its clutches. The path to the right was clearer, with less sticks and brambles poking out. Suddenly she veered to the left only to be knocked to the ground. He had been waiting for her, knowing which way she would turn.
She twisted on her back but was unable to break free.
“Okay”, she breathed heavily. “You win.” She was released and stood to her feet, smiling at her brother. They were both slightly dirty.
“How did you know I would choose the left”, she asked.
Apollo shrugged.
“I thought about which was I would go”, he answered. “Besides, everyone knows you would never choose the easy path.”

Tale Of The Gods pt.6TotG

Hestia watched as the gods and goddesses left Olympus. Most left, anxious to leave the meeting. After all that had happened today Hestia assumed that they wanted some time to be by themselves, think over the danger that waits them.
Soon only a handful of gods and goddesses were left in the temple: Aphrodite, Apollo, Artemis, Hera, Zeus and herself.
Apollo and Artemis walked over to Aphrodite.
“Aphrodite”, Apollo said. “You know best the clothes worn by the mortals our age. Will you dress us?” Aphrodite smiled.
“I would dress you anytime Apollo.” Hestia heard Artemis scoff and saw Apollos eyes widen. Then Aphrodite led them out of the temple and into the city. Then it was just the three siblings left.
“Are you all right, my wife”, Zeus asked Hera. Hera nodded, trying to look dignified.

Tale of the Gods pt.7TotG

Apollo peaked between the brush at the edge of a clearing. It was only a matter of time before they showed up. Though he could not see her he sensed his sister was at the other edge of the clearing a few yards away. He could feel her movement among the bushes. When he was hunting or fighting his senses came alive. He could feel everything that moved and breathed. His sister was no exception. He already had a connection with her anyway.
After a few seconds Apollo felt the ground thumping. They were coming. Suddenly two huge moving towers busted into the clearing. They were both at least ten feet tall with tree trunks for arms and legs. They skin was crusty and looked like light dirt. They were covered in warts and both only had a loincloth barely covering their bottoms. Their guts hung over. Even though everything about them was ugly the most noticeable thing about them was the fact that they had only one eye. Big, round, and glossy.

“They’re WHAT?!”
“My daughter, they are back. They approach the temple as I speak. Please do not forget to call the meeting for the original six. I must speak with all of my children.”
Hera stood in front of a shimmery outline, her mother. She had just been told that Apollo and Artemis were already back and coming to the temple at this moment. She had thought it would take much longer. Rheas image shimmered away.
Hera paced in front of her throne. How was it that they were already back? She had been enjoying not having them around for a while. She sighed and tried to calm herself.
All of the gods and goddesses were meeting again to place the blessings on the new Oracle and Hera heard many of them pop into the temple behind her. She turned around and saw all of them there except for the twins, Zeus, Poseidon and Hades. She sat down on her throne and rubbed her temples. Ares and Athena were arguing about something and making a great deal ofTale of the Gods pt.8 by ~animalkrazy

Tale of the Gods pt.4TotG

The two rode in silence on the way to Mount Olympus. They rose above the clouds, never dipping below them. Finally they made it to Olympus, the most divine place to ever exist. It sat above the clouds and glimmered so brightly that any mortal eyes would be blinded at the sight of it. It has qualities of all the major gods and goddesses. They had all placed their special touch on the place; making it so spectacular it was far form anyone’s imagination. It was huge. The actual “mini- city” of Olympus surround the temple covered half of the United States. No doubt the place was magnificent but to Apollo and Artemis it was just their home, besides Delos of course.
The car hovered over a cloud and the twins got out. Once they both had their bows strapped to their back the car disappeared in a flash of light. Together they walked up to the Olympus temple. Though Apollos temple was huge in its own right, next to Olympus it would look like a playhouse.

There was silence across the island as Letos words hung in the air.
“Destruction”, Artemis repeated. “That could mean anything.” Leto shook her head and looked at her children with sad eyes.
“mother, we are immortal we cannot be killed”, Apollo noted. “It must mean something else. Do not worry, we will be fine. Yes, things will be destroyed, but we will not be one of them.”
Leto shook her head again as if she was not sure.
“Unfortunately, mother, we must leave you. We have already pressed our fathers nerves. We musn’t be late to this meeting. But do not worry. WE will be fine”, Artemis reassured her.
Apollo moved to hug his mother.
“Goodbye, Leto. WE will be back soon. And hopefully, with a new Oracle. He began to walk towards the entrance of the his temple. Artemis hugged Leto as well.

Tale Of The Gods pt.2TotG

Artemis looked down at the island. It wasn’t to big, it wasn’t too small. It was perfect.
Apollo puled the car in a circle around the island the suddenly the car dived down steeply. Wind rushed past artemis’ ears for a few seconds until Apollo leveled the car again and parked/landed in a clearing.
“I hate it when you do that.” She got out of the car and strapped her bow and quiver to her back. Apollo reached to the back of the car and strapped his own bow and quiver to his back as well, after putting on his jacket.
“Leave the lyre”, Artemis demanded as Apollo reached for it. He rolled his eyes but left the lyre where it was. The pair stopped and looked around for a moment. Then they moved off down a path they had followed many times.
After a couple of minutes they arrived in the center of the island. It was cleared out and went on for a couple of miles in each direction. In the center was a huge stone temple. It stood sixty fTale Of The Gods pt.2 by ~animalkrazy

The siblings were blazing across the sky, never dipping below the clouds. After a few minutes the girl noticed a something flickering in the rearview mirror. It moved quickly and she couldn’t be completely sure as to what it was.
“There is something following the car.”
The boy looked over the back. He frowned.
“Just a crystal ball. Probably father warning us not to be late again.”
The girl nodded and suddenly the ball was floating directly in front of her. An image flickered across it. A man in his early thirties was looking at her. He was slightly tan with a black neatly trimmed beard. His hair was cut neatly, and short. His eye color was hard to pinpoint. They shifted between a dark blue, to a deep purple, and sometimes even black.
“Father”, this girl said. “We are on our way to Delos now.” The man in the crystal ball looked off to the side as the image flickered.
